Is it free, and are my files stored?

Free, with no signup. Your file is processed in memory to produce the translation and is not kept afterwards, so there is no stored copy to delete. The text is sent to the Gemini API from Google to be translated, on the paid tier, where the terms state prompts and responses are not used to improve Google products.

What happens to your file

Never stored

We never write your file to disk. It is held in memory only for as long as the translation takes, then released when your download is handed back. Other tools promise to delete your uploads after 24 hours. We have nothing to delete, because no copy is ever made.

There is no account and no email, so nothing is tied to you. The only thing we keep is a tally: how many translations ran, on which tool, between which two languages. Not your text, not your file, not a name.

To translate it, the text itself is sent to Google, through their Vertex AI platform, which runs the Gemini model we use. We pay Google for every call. What Google may do with what we send is governed by their Service Specific Terms, not by anything we control, so we name the processor and link the terms rather than characterise a policy we cannot check ourselves.

If a document is confidential enough that no third-party API may see it, do not upload it here, or to any free online translator. That is the honest answer.
